Multiple OS in VPS Hosting
If you choose to purchase one of our virtual private server plans, you will be able to choose one of the three Linux distributions which we offer for the OS of the servers - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They're among the most widely used and most stable server OSs available and we offer them in order to give you a choice for the software environment of your machine if you want to install some application with precise requirements with regards to the packages that must be present on the web hosting server. We also offer three internet hosting Control Panels and which one of them you could use depends on the OS that you've selected. We leave the possibility to change the server Operating System open, so if you want to use software that requires an OS different from the one that's already present, we can always reinstall the VPS. In addition, we can keep the OS up-to-date on a weekly basis by installing all of the security updates that may be released.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Web Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server plans - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they are free and they will not increase the price of your new web hosting server, but also because they are exceptionally stable and secure. Each one of them is backed up by a huge community of developers, so you'll be given the option to choose from many hundreds of software packages that you could install on your server in case the application that you intend to work with has certain requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use since the Control Panels that we offer are compatible with particular OSs only and because we want to provide you with as much freedom as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. If you get a server with a given Operating System, we can change it upon request if it turns out that you'll need a different one. We will also keep your OS updated weekly as part of our optional Managed Services upgrade.
