The term e-mail forwarding refers to a message being forwarded from a recipient address to a third-party address which is not listed as a recipient. For example, a client sends an email from their private mailbox to and as much as they're concerned, this is the single receiver. If there's an active forwarding, the email can be sent to, for example, even though the customer never intended the e-mail to be sent there and may not be aware about the existence of this mailbox. There are several reasons for using such forwarding. For example, if you have many e-mail addresses you can forward them all to a single mail box, which can make checking emails less difficult and allows you to get e-mails and respond promptly. The feature can also be used in case a number of people should receive a copy of an email message delivered to a general email address.

E-mail Forwarding in Hosting

In case you have a hosting package with us and you set up e-mail addresses in your account, you are able to forward it with no more than a couple of clicks to another address of your choosing. The feature can be activated whenever you make a new mailbox or any time later on and deactivated just as quickly any time you change your mind. This can be done from the Hepsia Hosting Control Panel in which you can control your account. In addition, you will have the option to decide whether a duplicate of the inbound messages will stay on our servers or not. The main advantage of this option is you will always have a backup on your end if something happens with the other mailbox or maybe it isn't active for reasons unknown at the time an e-mail is forwarded. If the option is not enabled, an email will be received, forwarded and removed from our servers even if the remote email address is operating or not, so it is usually a wise decision to have it active just to be on the safe side.

E-mail Forwarding in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you have a semi-dedicated server through our company, it will take only a couple of mouse clicks inside the Email Manager area of your Hepsia Hosting Control Panel to forward the e-mail addresses created on our end to a third-party address. Inside the exact same section you will also be able to observe how many of your email addresses are forwarded and where the incoming e-mails are sent. You can enable or deactivate a forwarding account at any time and throughout the process you can also decide whether a copy of the e-mails needs to be maintained in our system or not. Even if this feature is not a requirement, it is extremely useful since you will have a backup copy of the emails on our end in case that anything happens with the third-party email address. Even if they've got a short-term problem, you risk losing e-mails as the moment our system receives and forwards an e-mail, nothing at all will be kept on our end unless you chosen a backup to be kept.
