No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Hosting
In case you host your sites in a hosting account from our firm, you will not have to worry about any of your data ever getting corrupted. We can ensure that because our cloud hosting platform employs the cutting-edge ZFS file system. The latter is the only file system which uses checksums, or unique digital fingerprints, for each file. Any kind of data that you upload will be stored in a RAID i.e. simultaneously on a number of SSD drives. All file systems synchronize the files between the separate drives using such a setup, but there's no real guarantee that a file will not get corrupted. This could occur throughout the writing process on any drive and then a damaged copy can be copied on the other drives. What is different on our platform is that ZFS analyzes the checksums of all files on all the drives immediately and in case a corrupted file is discovered, it is substituted with a good copy with the correct checksum from another drive. That way, your info will continue to be unharmed no matter what, even if an entire drive fails.
No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Your semi-dedicated hosting account will be protected against silent data corruption as all our storage servers employ the advanced ZFS file system. What makes the aforementioned unique is that it employs checksums, or digital identifiers, so as to guarantee the integrity of every single file. When you upload content to your account, it'll be saved on a couple of redundant drives being employed in a RAID i.e. the files shall be the same across all disk drives. All copies of a particular file will have the same checksum on all hard drives and ZFS will compare the checksums of the copies quickly, so if it discovers a mismatch, which would indicate that one of the copies is damaged, it'll substitute that file with a healthy copy from one of the other disks. Even if there is an unforeseen power failure, the data on the servers will not become corrupted and there won't be any need for a time-consuming system check which other file systems perform after some malfunction, extending the time needed for the server to get back online. ZFS is the sole file system which can really protect your content from silent data corruption.
